Overview

Developed under the West Belconnen Joint Venture, Ginninderry stretches from the north‑western suburbs of Canberra (Holt and Macgregor) across the ACT/NSW border into the Yass Valley. It is bounded on two sides by the Murrumbidgee River and Ginninderra Creek.

Of Gininderry’s 1600 hectares, only around half will be developed. The remaining 800 hectares will be an open‑space network created by a 595‑hectare conservation corridor along the Murrumbidgee River and Ginninderra Creek.

Ginninderry has been awarded a six‑star ‘Green Star – Communities’ rating by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). This is the highest sustainability rating possible under this program and is a first for any community in the ACT.

The West Belconnen Joint Venture is an unincorporated joint venture between the Australian Capital Territory and Riverview Developments (ACT) Pty Limited to develop land in the ACT and NSW, providing approximately 11,500 residential homes for ultimately 30,000 people.

Riverview brings a wealth of expertise, capability and experience to the Ginninderry project. Riverview Projects (ACT) Pty Limited acts as the Development/Project Manager for the West Belconnen Joint Venture while sales and marketing services are also supplied by the Riverview Group through Riverview Sales and Marketing Pty Limited.
